Town Recreation Properties and Conservation Area Project Updates: Last update April 12th, 2026
Nipmuc River Trails & Conservation Area, Harrisville:
- Some signage to be updated along the Right-of-Way and new signage to be added to parking area.
Lapham Farm Conservation Area, Harrisville:
- A new trail map is under development for the new kiosk and for the BCC web page. New signage to be added along Lapham Farm Rd.
Union Pond Park & Conservation Area, Pascoag:
- Parking signs to be added.
- A new trail map is under development for the kiosk and for the BCC web page.
- Trail to be maintained soon.
Branch River Park (BRP), Nasonville/Glendale:
- Trail Map links have been added to both the BCC and Parks & Rec Dept. web pages. See the BCC link here: https://www.burrillville.org/conservation-commission/files/branch-river-...
- Repairs to the foot bridge on the orange trail completed.
- Some trail maintenance has taken place to remove downed trees. More trail maintenance to be completed week of April 12th.
Beckwith-Bruckshaw Recreation Center Trails, Pascoag:
- A new kiosk construction is in progress by Pascoag by Troop 1 Scouting Program Spring 2026.
- A new trail map is under development for the kiosk and for the BCC web page.
Duck Pond Recreation Trails, Harrisville:
- A new kiosk was installed in the Fall of 2024 by Eagle Scout Jesse Kearsley from Harrisville Troop 88.
- A new trail map is under development for the kiosk and for the BCC web page.
- Trail clearing and maintenance is planned for the week of April 12th, 2026.
Wallum Lake Canoe Launch, Pascoag:
- A new spillway near the dam is in the planning process to be installed in the FY27-28.
Route 102 Gateway/Greenway, Burrillville/North Smithfield Town Line:
- Litter pick is scheduled and rotted trees to be removed week of April 12th, 2026.
