Wallum Lake Canoe Launch
South Shore Road - Burrillville

The Burrillville Conservation Commission’s Wallum Lake Canoe Launch is located off of South Shore Drive along the southern shores of Wallum Lake.  South Shore Road is accessible off Route 100, Wallum Lake Road, north of Pascoag. There is a dedicated gravel parking area that provides parking for about 6 vehicles.

The site provides a portage location directly to Wallum Lake, which straddles the Massachusetts State Line. Access to the Lake is year round, but is reduced in the winter as the parking lot is not plowed out.

Users can see a number of scenic locations along the edges of Wallum Lake. Located to the south is Zambarano Hospital.  Located along the western shores of Wallum Lake in Rhode Island is access to the nearly 2,000 acre Buck Hill Management Area.  Just over the Massachusetts state line, also along the western and northern shores of Wallum Lake access to the Douglas State Forest can be gained.

Users can observe Bald Eagles, Osprey, Otters and Herons.  Fishing in the Lake can be enjoyed by valid fishing license holders and can expect largemouth bass, trout, chain pickerel and northern pike.
