Seniors' Services
A Community Information Specialist from Senior Services, Inc., is available to assist and advise senior residents of Burrillville. Appointments can be made in the Woonsocket Office by calling Senior Services, Inc. at 766-3734.
Community Information Specialists can assist you with applications for many programs for which you may be eligible, including:
- Assisted Living Facilities/Nursing Homes
- Property Tax Relief (1040 H)
- Abuse
- Financial Assistance
- Health Insurance
- Heating Assistance
- Identification (DEA/RIPTA)
- In Home Services
- Social Security
- Transportation
- Medicare/Medicaid/RIPAE
- Referrals to other agencies
- Legal Assistance (Living Wills, Health Care Power of Attorney)
- Fraud/Waste and Abuse
The Specialist is also trained as a Senior Health Insurance Counselor (SHIP) and can explain health insurance options available to Rhode Island seniors so that they can make informed choices concerning their health care.
