Election Security

On August 21, 2018, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) released the majority of state and territorial budget plans for spending the recently appropriated $380 million in Help America Vote Act (HAVA) funds. Common spending trends include acquisition or upgrades to voting and registration systems, election auditing, multi-factor authentication, security training, security assessments, and the hiring of new temporary or permanent personnel.
