On January 30, 2023 at 8:59 a.m. members of the Burrillville Police Department arrested Jessica L. Riopelle, age 35, of 310 Church St., Pascoag, RI.  Ms. Riopelle was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant issued by this Department.  Ms. Riopelle was charged with Possession of a Scheduled I to V Controlled Substance, 1st offense.  Ms. Riopelle was later transported to the RI 6th District Court for her arraignment.

On January 30, 2023 at 10:25 a.m. members of the Burrillville Police Department arrested Daniel Taveras, age 35, of 32 Spring Lake Rd., Glendale, RI.  Mr. Taveras was taken into custody by the Providence Police Department on an outstanding warrant issued by this Department.  Mr. Taveras was charged with Domestic Violence-Simple Assault/Battery, 1st offense, Domestic Violence-Disorderly Conduct, 1st offense, and Reckless Driving and other Offenses against Public Safety, 1st offense.  Mr. Taveras was later transported to the RI 6th District Court for his arraignment.

On February 2, 2023 at 6:17 a.m. members of the Burrillville Police Department arrested Kevin Pomfret, age 37, of 46 Frederick St., Pascoag, RI.  This was the result of a lengthy investigation conducted by members of the Detective Division.  Mr. Pomfret was charged with Second Degree Child Abuse.  Mr. Pomfret was later transported to the RI 6th District Court for his arraignment.

On February 2, 2023 at 11:15 a.m. members of the Burrillville Police Department arrested a 13 year old juvenile.  The juvenile was charged with Simple Assault.  The juvenile will be referred to the RI Family Court at a later date.

On February 2, 2023 at 10:33 p.m. members of the Burrillville Police Department arrested Jamara S. Lyles, age 21, of 20 Inkerman St., Providence, RI.  This was the result of a call for an assault that took place on Pascoag Main St.  Ms. Lyles was charged with Domestic Violence-Simple Assault/Battery, 1st offense, and Domestic Violence-Disorderly Conduct, 1st offense.  Ms. Lyles was brought before a Bail Commissioner and later remanded to the Adult Correctional Institute.

On February 2, 2023 at 10:33 p.m. members of the Burrillville Police Department arrested Armani J. Barbosa, age 18, of 34 Aldrich Ave., Cranston, RI.  This was the result of a call for an assault that took place on Pascoag Main St.  Mr. Barbosa was charged with Simple Assault/Battery and Disorderly Conduct.  Mr. Barbosa was later released on a summons to appear in the RI 6th District Court at a later date.
