Burrillville Small Business (Employers)

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is still sponsoring the Employee Retention Credit (ERC).  This is a refundable tax credit for qualified small employers who retained employees and paid qualified wages to some or all of their employees after March 12, 2020, and before January 1, 2022 (during the pandemic).

Interested small businesses can go to the IRS website and search Employee Retention Credit/Internal Revenue Service (https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/employee-retention-credit).  Eligible businesses could receive up to $26,000 per employee.  There are consulting groups who may be able to assist those who are interested.  Just go to your search engine and enter “Employee Retention Credit” or “ERC”.
