• Art Classes- Callahan session begins March 15th.
• Boot Camp – All classes are filled to capacity including special the 2 hr bootcamp she is holding on 3/25.
Instructor adding another 5:15am class for the month of March only. A total of 264 participants took boot
camp classes in January.
• Breakfast with the Easter Bunny/Egg hunt – 2 volunteers confirmed to date. Dunkin to donate hot chocolate,
coffee and donuts. Tickets are being sold at the Parks and Recreation office. Event set up on facebook.
Several raffle baskets have been donated. Press release, flyers and Bargain Buyer Ad to go out the first
week of March. Easter Bunny suit cleaned. Signs have been updated with new date.
• Burrillville Weekend Snack Pack Program – Packing session held February 8th. .A Touch of Light Yoga
raised $46 and an additional $645 was received in resident donations. Movie fundraiser to be held at the
Assembly Theatre on 3/19. Levy and Steere Farm have asked for additional bags. WE are up to a total of
36 children each week.
• Dance Program – Classes on hold until further notice due to instructor family emergency.
• Earth Day Cleanup – Signs and flyers updated. Working on press release and raffle items. T-shirts picked
up. Ordered giveaways. Next meeting scheduled for March 30th. T-Shirts ordered.
• Earth Day/Energy Conservation Poster Contest – Meeting scheduled with PUD to discuss the details of this
year’s contest.
• Earth Day Make It, Take It craft – Working with PUD to offer a recycled/energy conservation Make It, Take It

craft to SFE and WLC students during April.
• Facebook/Newsletters/Website- Posted Packing Session Info. Updated boot camp schedule. Posted Easter
Event, new play to learn program, safe sitter, and our spring flyer. Spring newsletters and March calendars
went out.
• Field Requests – Processing requests to utilize Branch River and Hauser field for spring sports.
• Forever Fit – Average attendance for the month of January was 12 participants per class
• Multi-Sport Classes- 20 students registered for Levy Multi-Sport.
• Photography Class – New 4 week session to start May 1- May 22nd at BMS. Cost of $50 per participant.
Second session to be offered in the Spring. 6 students have registered. Class begins November 7th at BMS
in room 116. It will be held for four weeks from 6:30-8:00pm. Flyers posted around Town. Press release to
go out the week of 10/24. Working on flyer, press release and location for a new 4 week intro to
photography class.
• Play to Learn - A one hour class where your child, ages 3 months to 3 years can learn through play! Each
month will follow a new theme and children will participate in a structured greeting, stroytime, and singing
portion before breaking off into some free play to encourage social interaction and bonding. Classes will be
held each Saturday beginning April 8th from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Burrillville Community Recreation
Center (Beckwith-Bruckshaw Lodge), 50 Lodge Road, Pascoag, RI. The cost is $15 per child per month or
$5 to drop in.
• Summer Programs– Working on scheduling the weeks for Archery, Art, Hoops, Multisport. Waiting to hear
back from a new Tennis camp and a RISE theatre camp. Audubon summer camp scheduled for the end of
June. Working on summer mini-camp schedules.
• Special Needs Recreation Programs/Classes– Met with a new non-profit organization “For Pete’s Sake and
Rosies Too” about ways we can collaborate to offer events for residents with special needs. Working with the
Burrillville Special Ed Advisory Committee to find ways to meets the need of this population through our
department.
• Sunshine Club– February meeting had 5 volunteers that made 21 gifts. Next meeting scheduled for March
20th to make 19 gifts.
• Tai-Chi – Classes on hold until further notice due to instructor illness.

-Maps have been updated with recommendations, to be review during March 2017 meeting
