-Adult Tap- Class time has been changed from 730-830.
-Art – SFE has 4 participants.
-Burrillville Aging Stronger Committee – November Lunch and Learn was a huge
success with over 300 people in attendance. Pictures are on Facebook.
-Boot Camp – There were 532 participants for the month of October.
-Burrillville Weekend Snack Pack Program – 48 participants this year- increase in 10
students since the last meeting. Packing session and volunteer appreciation meeting
held on 11/5.
-Facebook/Newsletters/Website- Working on winter newsletter. Posted November
Calendar, Bravo Brewery, Santa Calling, and Santa Events Flyer. Christmas Events
press release to go out next week. Santa calling and Santa event fliers to go home with
school children next week. Posted WLC Multisport flyer, Art at SFE flyer. Posted
volunteer rides pilot program.
-Forever Fit – Average is 31 for October.
-Girls Softball – Softball season ended on 10/21. Working on a flyer for the schools for
indoor tryouts for summer months.
-Hero Park – Working on DEM grant application with planning dept.
-Holiday Card Contest – winners selected, cards to be sent to the printer on 10/21.
-Karate – SFE classes start November 6th.
-Santa Calling – Thank you gifts for volunteers have been ordered. 4 Santas confirmed
to date. Requests went out to 5 previous Santas. One additional volunteer has come
forward. Flyers to go out to schools during the week of November 12th. Forms due back
by November 22nd. Santa to call between December 4th and December 8th. 4 previous
Santas have confirmed their participation.
-Santa at Stillwater – Thank you gifts for volunteers have been ordered. Dunkin donuts
has approved donation of donuts and munchkins. Six raffle baskets received to date.
Scheduled Santa suit for cleaning, contacted Uncle Ronnie’s for Hot Chocolate.
Confirmed Middle School Chorus, Mrs. Claus and face painting. Request sent out for
raffle items and donations. 3 basket donations confirmed to date. Raffle application
submitted to state police. Harrisville Fire Department contacted regarding Santa arriving
by firetruck. Dates changed on Santa signs.
-Senior Transportation Subcommittee- Committee members had a table at the Lunch
and Learn on November 7th.
-Sunshine Club– Next meeting November 18th to make 36 gifts.
-Town Common Holiday Decorations - Harrisville Fire Department contacted regarding
erecting the tree and lights in the gazebo.
-Zumba – Time changed to 6:30pm. Averaging 24 participants.
-Zumba Gold – New class for seniors being offered on Wednesdays from 1-2 pm at the
Lodge on November 6th. $3/class.
-Discussion – Job Lot has given unsold ornaments to each community to allow each
resident in each community to have one. 1,300 to give out at Santa at Stillwater and the
senior events. Andrea can connect any interested organizations with the contact to get
some of the ornaments to give out.
