AERMOD Emission Sources
The Auxiliary Boiler is not included as a source in the AERMOD input files used to predict off-site criteria pollutant for neither the SteadyState nor the Soils scenarios. Please explain the rationale for excluding one of the primary criteria pollutant emission sources proposed for the site.
RESPONSE 7-16
| The auxiliary boiler will only operate prior to and during combustion turbine startup periods and will not operate during normal, steady-state combustion turbine operating periods. Therefore, the auxiliary boiler was included in the modeling of startup conditions, but not included in any modeling of steady state facility operation.
